Cal Sans is one of the most professional and contemporary sans serif fonts which are being produced by Mark Davis. Considering it can fit your various projects and tasks, it should and can be incorporated into any creative idea and in the process of doing so, your ideas will reach their final destination – stand out! It is an Open Source typeface to dress up the headlines and the interfaces of the recently established company named Cal. com, founded by Peer Richelsen and Bailey Pumfleet, with interfaces designed by Ciarán Hanrahan.
Since this design was made to be viewed and is not an interactive one, and is in this design form as a single static font, an unconventional method is used for its texture and basic typographical style. For even more intimate headlines—outside of the box—letters are meant to be packed closely together. In addition, for subheadings, positive letter spacing is required.
As of now, there are no other Geometric sans serifs intentionally designed for “close but not touching” typesetting as it requires more effort to produce tighter setting with accurate edges. However, if they would letterspace another design as tight as Cal Sans, the results are not nearly as concise.
