Display

What is a Display Fonts? A Display Fonts is a type of font that is designed to be used at large sizes, rather than for extended passages of body text. They are often used for headlines, logos, and other short-form applications. A display font is a broad category of fonts that are designed for short-form and often large-format applications, such as billboards or posters; logotypes; headlines or headings in magazines or websites; and book covers. Some typefaces, such as Haas Grotesk and Neue Power Font, will include a display version in which the original design is embellished or exaggerated for use at larger sizes.

Why are display fonts used? Display fonts are used because they can be very eye-catching and can help to make a statement. They can also be used to create a sense of hierarchy in a design, by making certain elements stand out more than others. There are many different styles of display fonts, but some of the most common include:

Serif Fonts: Serif fonts have small lines, called serifs, that extend from the ends of the main strokes. They are often seen as being more elegant and traditional than sans serif fonts.
Sans-Serif Fonts: Sans serif fonts do not have serifs. They are often seen as being more modern and clean than serif fonts.
Script Fonts: Script fonts are designed to look like handwriting. They can be very elegant or playful, depending on the style.
Decorative Fonts: Decorative fonts are designed to be attention-grabbing. They often have unusual features, such as swashes or flourishes.
